Essential English Conversation in telephoning

1- این تلفن خراب است و یا سیستمش مشکل پیدا کرده است.

This telephone is out of order or its systems has broken down.

2- پیش شماره اش را بلدی؟

Do you know its area code?

3- باید شماره اش را تو دفترچه تلفن پیدا کنیم.

We should look up his number in the phone book.

4- دنبال یک باجه تلفن عمومی می گردم.

I’m looking for a public telephone booth.

5- تلفن را بردار و این شماره را بگیر.

Pick up the telephone and dial this number.

6- مراقب حرف زدنت باش ممکن است تلفن ما کنترل بشه.

Be careful what you say, our conversation may be being bugged.

7- بوق آزاد نمی زند، مشکل چیه؟

I cannot hear the dial tone. What’s wrong?

8- بوق اشغال می زند.

I hear the engaged tone.

9- الو؟ شرکت آب؟

Hello? Am I through to the Water Company?

10- می تونم با خانم پارسا، داخلی 505 صحبت کنم؟

Could I speak to Mrs. Parsa on extension 505, please?

11- گوشی لطفا، الان شما را به خانم پارسا وصل می کنم.

Hold on please, I’ll just connect you with Mrs. Parsa.

12- متأسفانه تلفن مدیر اشغال است، امکان داره بعدا تماس بگیرید؟

I’m afraid the manager’s line is busy. Can you call back later?

13- می تونم پیغام بگذارم؟

Can I leave a message?

14- ما داشتیم صحبت می کردیم که یکدفعه تلفن قطع شد.

We’re talking when suddenly we were cut off.

15- آقای صارمی تلفن با شما کار دارد.

Mr Saremi, you are wanted on the phone.

16- ببخشید، شما؟ من سارا هستم.

Excuse me, who is calling? This is sara.

17- من تلفن رو جواب می دم.

I’ll get telephone.

18- من فکر می کنم اشتباه گرفتید. من شما را به جا نمی آورم. شما؟

I think you have the wrong number. I don’t recognize your voice. Who is this?

19- الان دستم بند است. می تونم بعدا بهت زنگ بزنم؟

I’m right in the middle of something. Can I call you back?

Hang up and try again.

21- مزاحم تلفنی داریم.

We’re having crank calls.
