با سلام. در پست امروز یک اصطلاح دیگر را برای آموزش به شما در نظر گرفته ایم. اصطلاح That makes two of us در زمانی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد که قصد دارید به مخاطب بگویید با نظر وی موافقید یا اینکه موقعیتی که مخاطب در آن قرار دارد در مورد شما هم صدق میکند. بهترین راه فهم این اصطلاح دیدن آن در یک مکالمه ی واقعی ست که در ادامه ی مطلب این امر با یک کلیپ کوتاه از یک فیلم آمریکایی انجام شده است.
The Man: It seems that your husband, Karen, had an opportunity to get off the plane and didn’t do it. And I was hoping, you can, maybe, help me figure out why.
The Woman: That would make two of us. I don’t know.
Explanation:
That makes two of us spoken used to say that you agree with someone or that something that is true of them is true of you too:
‘I haven’t a clue what’s going on.’ ‘That makes two of us.’
