حال ساده و حال استمراری 2

(I’m doing and I do)

 

از زمان حال استمراری برای اعمال و اتفاقاتی استفاده می کنیم که شروع شده اند اما به پایان نرسیده اند( they are eating/ it is raining) بعضی افعال مثل know and like  معمولا به این روش استفاده نمی شوند. نمی گوییم;  ‘ I am knowing’ or ‘ they are liking’ می گوییم ‘I know’, they like

افعال زیر معمولا به صورت استمرار استفاده نمی شوند:

Like  love  hate  want  need  prefer

Know  realise  suppose  mean  understand  believe  remember

Belong  fit  contain  consist  seem

  • I’m hungry. I want something to eat.( not I’m wanting)
  • Do you understand what I mean?
  • Ann doesn’t seem very happy at this moment.

 

Think

وقتی think به معنی" اعتقاد داشتن" یا" داشتن نظر و عقیده "باشد، در زمان حال استمراری استفاده نمی شود.

 

  • I think Mary is Canadian but I’m not sure.( not I’m thinking)
  • What do you think about my plan? (= what is your opinion?)

 

 

وقتی think  به معنی" تفکر کردن" باشد، می توان از استمرار استفاده کرد:

 

  • I’m thinking of what happened. I often think about it.
  • Nicky is thinking of giving up her job.

 

 

He is selfish and he is being selfish

 

He is being = رفتار و عملی را انجام دادن

مقایسه کنید:                                     

  • I can’t understand why he’s being so selfish. He isn’t usually like that.

(Being selfish )= احمقانه رفتار کردن در آن لحظه

  • He never thinks about other people. He is very selfish.( not he is being)

 

از am/is/are being  استفاده می کنیم تا نشان دهیم که یک شخص چگونه رفتار می کند. معمولا در جمالت دیگر ممکن نیست:

  • It’s hot today. ( it is being hot)
  • Sarah is very tired. ( not is being very tired)

 

 

See hear smell taste

(با این افعال معمولا حال ساده استفاده می کنیم( نه استمرار

  • Do you see that man over there? ( not are you seeing)
  • This room smells. Let’s open the window.

 

اغلب از  can+ see/ smell/hear/taste استفاده می کنیم:

  • I can hear the strange noise. Can you hear it?

 

Look  feel

می توانید برای بیان اینکه 'یک فرد چطور به نظر می رسد یا احساس می کند'  از زمان حال ساده یا استمراری استفاده کنید: 

  • You look well today. Or     you’re looking well today.
  • How do you feel now? Or   how are you feeling now?

But

  • I usually feel tired in the morning. ( not I’m usually feeling)
