A new report from NPD DisplaySearch picked up byCNET states that Samsung supplied more displays for Apple’s full-sizeiPad during the June quarter than LG Display, which was previously Apple’s main iPad panel supplier. DisplaySearch claims that Apple has been boosting display orders from Samsung since January, claiming that Apple bought 2.3 million panels from Samsung in the first quarter this year and more than 4.1 million in Q2. Finally, the report states that Samsung will also supply displays for Apple’s next-generation iPad mini, which is expected to debut this fall.
