Past simple (I did)

زمان گذشته ساده

به مثال زیر دقت کنید:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian musician and composer.

He lived from 1756 to 1791. He started composing at the age of five and wrote more than

600 pieces of music.

He was only 35 years old when he died.

این افعال در زمان گذشته ساده به کار رفته اند: lived/ started/ wrote/ was/ died

• در بیشتر مواقع افعال گذشته ساده با –ed  به پایان میرسند( افعال با قاعده):

• We invited them to our party, but they decided not to come.
• The police stopped me on my way home last night.

بعضی افعال بی قاعده هستند و با –ed به پایان نمیرسند. به عنوان مثال:

Write      wrote        - Mozart wrote more than 600 pieces of music.

See         saw           - we saw Rose in town a few days ago.

Go           went        - I went to the cinema three times last night.

Shut        shut          - it was cold, so I shut the window.

• در حالت سوالی و منفی از فعل کمکی (did/did’nt+ infinitives   (enjoy/see/go etc)  استفاده می کنیم:

I         enjoyed                                                     

She     saw                                    

They    went

                       you enjoy?

  did                 she see?                             

                         they go?

I                                    enjoy                

she         didn't                 see

they                                go

در مثال های زیر do  فعل اصلی است( did…  do/ didn’t … do)

• What did u do at the weekend? (not what did u at the weekend?)
• I didn’t do anything.( not I didn’t anything)

• گذشته be(am,is,are) was, were  است:

I/she/he/it                            was/wasn’t                                          was             i/she/he/it?

We/you/they                       were/weren’t                                       were       we/you/they?

توجه کنید که در منفی و سوالی کردن با was/were  از فعل کمکی did  استفاده نمی کنیم:

• I was angry because they were late.
• They weren’t able to come because they were so busy.
•
