Huawei confirmed earlier this week that it will still be making Windows Phone products for the foreseeable future. Now there's some apparent proof that those statements are true, thanks to image leaks and information of a previously unannounced device.

WPDang has uploaded the images and revealed a few bits of information on the phone, which Huawei will apparently call the Ascend W3 in a continuation of the brand and numbering of the company's first two Windows Phone releases, the Ascend W1 and Ascend W2.

The article claims that the Ascend W3 will have an aluminum case design, which should make the phone thinner and lighter than its older models. It's also the same material Nokia used for the recent Lumia 925. There's no word yet on what hardware specs the Ascend W3 will have, other that it will support LTE networks in China. It does say that the case design will be a mix of two Android products, the Huawei D2 and P6.

The article claims that Huawei will made an official announcement on the Ascend W3 as part of its CES 2014 presentation, which will be held in Las Vegas in early January.
