نحوه کاربرد “تقریبا” در زبان انگلیسی

برای بیان “تقریبا” توی زبان انگلیسی بیان های مختلفی وجود داره که با مثالهایی زیر بهتر متوجه می شوید:

About

nearly; very close to    

Example:

- A Pride costs about 5430$ in Iran.            

یک پراید در ایران حدودا به قیمت ۵۴۳۰ دلار می باشد.

- This is about the best we can hope for.

Approximately

used to show that something is almost, but not completely, accurate or correct.

Example:

- Our driving will take approximately 5.5 hours.

رانندگی ما حدودا ۵٫۵ ساعت طول خواهد کشید.

- The journey took approximately seven hours.

Roughly

approximately but not exactly

Example:

- The room’s temperature is roughly 16 ^C.

دمای اتاق حدودا ۱۶ درجه سلسیوس می باشد.

- They all left at roughly the same time.

Thereabouts

near the place mentioned.

Example:

- He is 26 years old or thereabout.

او ۲۶ ساله یا در همین حدود می باشد.

- He comes from Leeds or thereabouts.

or so

about;

Example:

- Our destination isn’t far, 6Km or so.

مقصدمان دور نیست، ۶ کیلومتر یا در همین حدود.

- It’ll cost €۱۰۰ or so.

Nearly

almost; not quite; not completely.

Example:

- It’s nearly 8 o’clock, don’t you want to go?

حدودا ساعت ۸ هست، نمیخواهی بروی؟

- The bottle’s nearly empty.
