Lose

to misplace or not win (v).

معنی فارسی: گم کردن ،مفقود کردن ،تلف کردن ،از دست دادن ،زیان کردن ،باختن(در قمار وغیره)،شکست خوردن

Example:

- Mom glared at Mikey. “If you lose that new lunchbox, don’t even think of coming home!”

- He’s lost his job.

Loose

to not be tight; verb (rarely used)–to release (adj).

معنی فارسی: لق ،گشاد،ول، شل وسست شدن ،رهاکردن ،درکردن(گلوله وغیره) ،سبکبار کردن

Example:

- The burglar’s pants were so loose that he was sure to lose the race with the cop chasing him.

- While awaiting trial, he was never set loose from jail because no one would post his bail.
